How It All Started

FBD Solutions LTD is an extension of Wigston DIY, which was founded by Hussein Essajee, who has been a professional in the flooring industry for over 8 years. Established in 1976, Wigston DIY is a family-run business based in the heart of Leicestershire. We have been serving the local community for more than 35 years, specialising in timber, hand tools, and ironmongery. As an extension to the business Floors by Design was launched in September 2009.

Growing Suppliers

We have built the business steadily to become the largest supplier of real wood and laminate flooring. We are also working on becoming the leading supplier of luxury vinyl tiles . In the process of expanding our business, we have become platinum dealers and master installers for Quick-Step™ flooring. This enables us to provide the best service to our customers, as to what flooring they should be investing in. We strive to offer competitive prices and low-cost fitting services.

From hardwood, laminate, vinyl and carpets, we’re also able to advise you on the different types, qualities, and layering techniques. We don't have a large fancy showroom and various sales men, as this keeps our overheads to the bare minimum. This enables us to work on lower profit margins, as well as offer personal customer service.
